We turned Zonamerica's connectivity into a carrier class service for its 500 clients

Using Nokia technology and working alongside Willinn (the Zonamerica group's technology company), we installed an MPLS solution that guarantees connectivity for the more than 500 companies based in Uruguay's largest technology park. We streamlined configuration, so a network service can be moved or a new one added in minutes. The design scales with clients as they grow and improves connection speed for 10,000 end users.

The challenge

Zonamerica, Uruguay's largest technology and business park, hosts more than 500 companies that rely on its connectivity to operate. The park needed to raise that service to carrier class standards and, at the same time, make it nimble enough to provision or move a network service in minutes, without slowing its clients' growth. In an environment like this, connectivity is not a side service: it is part of the value proposition the park uses to attract and retain the companies that operate there.

The solution

Using Nokia technology, and alongside Willinn, the Zonamerica group's technology company, we installed an MPLS solution that guarantees connectivity for the park's 500-plus companies. The MPLS architecture makes it possible to separate and prioritize each client's traffic over a single shared infrastructure. We simplified configuration, so moving a service or adding a new one now takes minutes. The design is built to scale with each company as it adds operations inside the park.

The impact

Zonamerica's connectivity became a carrier class service for its 500 clients and improved connection speeds for thousands of end users. The park gained a network that responds quickly to what companies ask for and that grows with them, without every change requiring a major intervention. For the companies based there, it means having an operator-grade service on site, ready to support both day-to-day operations and peaks in activity.
