In two days we set up a system that let Divino's teams (Uruguay's leading furniture retailer) work from home and stay safe during the pandemic. Later, they migrated all of their technology to this system and integrated it with their digital channels and ecommerce.

The challenge

When the pandemic hit, Divino, Uruguay's leading furniture retailer, had to move its teams out of the office within days to keep its people safe. The company needed staff to keep working from home without interrupting operations, and the window to make it happen was very short. It was not only about granting remote access, but about replicating the office working conditions so that commercial and administrative activity could carry on as normal in a context of uncertainty.

The solution

In two days we set up a system that let Divino's teams work from home. The solution opened remote access to the same work tools they used in the office, so the shift was immediate and orderly, with no learning curve to slow activity down. Later, Divino migrated all of its technology to this system and integrated it with its digital channels and ecommerce, bringing its in-store and online operations together on a single base.

The impact

Divino went from on-site to remote work in 48 hours and kept running through the most critical stage of the pandemic. What began as an emergency response became the technology base on which the company organized its digital operation for good. The experience left Divino with a more flexible way of working, able to combine a physical presence with remote work as each moment requires.
