We made collaborative work a reality for HSBC with new hybrid rooms

We helped HSBC bring next-generation technology to 14 meeting rooms at its Montevideo office, together with our partner Neat. To drive digital transformation in how people work, we improved image and sound quality and the effective-collaboration experience for employees, including those working from home or elsewhere in the country.
The challenge
HSBC wanted to encourage collaborative work at its Montevideo office and bring people who work from home or elsewhere in the country into meetings. Traditional meeting rooms did not offer the image and sound quality needed for remote participation to feel truly equal to being in the room. When audio and video quality is uneven, whoever joins remotely is at a disadvantage, and that discourages use of the rooms and limits collaboration between distributed teams.
The solution
Together with our partner Neat, we brought next-generation technology to 14 meeting rooms at HSBC's Montevideo office. We improved image and sound quality and the collaboration experience, so hybrid meetings run just as smoothly for people in the room and for those joining remotely. The equipment was installed consistently across the 14 rooms, so the experience is the same in all of them and the rooms are intuitive to use without prior instructions.
The impact
Collaborative work is no longer limited by where each person is. HSBC's new hybrid rooms bring employees who work from home or from around the country into the conversation, and they support the bank's digital transformation in how people work. By standardizing the experience across the 14 rooms, the organization has meeting spaces ready for hybrid work in its daily operation, with no friction when moving from one room to another.
