We connected the attractions at the Caribbean's largest amusement park

Katmandú Park

We installed the technology behind Katmandú Park Punta Cana, the Caribbean's first world-class theme park. We implemented wifi 6, high-performance networks, integrated security, a CCTV system with analytics, access control, and connectivity for all of the attractions' mission-critical machinery.

The challenge

Katmandú Park Punta Cana, billed as the Caribbean's first world-class theme park, needed a technology base able to sustain attractions, security, and the visitor experience at once. A park of this scale combines high-traffic networks, security systems, and mission-critical machinery that cannot fail while guests are on the rides. All of this shares a single site and has to work in a coordinated way from opening day, with no room to improvise along the way.

The solution

We installed the park's technology end to end. We implemented Wi-Fi 6 and high-performance networks, integrated security, a CCTV system with analytics, and access control. We also connected all of the attractions' mission-critical machinery, so the systems that run the rides and the ones that keep guests safe operate on a single reliable infrastructure. The video analytics and access control were integrated into the network so the park's operation can rely on real-time information.

The impact

Katmandú Park opened with an all-around technology infrastructure connecting attractions, security, and guest services. The CCTV analytics and access control provide information to run the park, while the network supports both the guest experience and the machinery behind each attraction. Having been designed as a single system, the infrastructure lets the park's different areas work on a common base, with shared rules for connectivity and security.
