We secured connectivity for the University of the Republic's new Veterinary School campus

We installed the structured cabling and delivered wifi connectivity across the Veterinary School's new 20,000 m² campus. With a next-generation network, close to 6,000 people (students and staff) enjoy excellent connection quality anywhere on the grounds. A student can be in any area and get online without trouble.
The challenge
The University of the Republic's Veterinary School was opening a 20,000 m² campus spread across several buildings and needed full connectivity from day one. Close to 6,000 people, students and staff, would move through classrooms, labs, offices, and shared spaces, and all of them had to get online anywhere on the grounds with no dead zones or drops. On top of the density of users, academic and administrative equipment also depends on the network. The starting point was a brand-new site with no prior infrastructure to build on.
The solution
We installed the building's structured cabling, which acts as the backbone of the network, and deployed a next-generation wifi network sized for a high density of users. We planned coverage to hold up under simultaneous use in the busiest areas, such as classrooms and study spaces, and to keep a consistent experience across the rest of the campus. We accounted for movement between access points, so the connection does not drop as people move around the grounds. The network was left ready to grow as the school adds equipment and services.
The impact
Today a student can be anywhere in the building and get online without trouble, whether in a classroom, a lab, or a shared space. Connectivity is no longer a constraint on teaching, research, and day-to-day operations. It became a reliable service that supports academic activity across the whole campus. The infrastructure that was installed also leaves room to add new applications as the school comes to need them, without having to rebuild the network.
